Lydia Jazmine got an unexpected serenade on Wednesday when her rehearsal at Eno Beats Studio in Makindye was interrupted by V&A Sherry Brand Manager Roy Ronald Tumwizere, who walked in with a surprise rendition of her hit song Cherie.
What started as a playful studio moment quickly turned into the unveiling of V&A Sherry’s partnership with the Ugandan songstress, just two days before her highly anticipated The One and Only Concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval on Friday, September 4.
After joining Jazmine for the impromptu performance, Tumwizere confirmed that V&A Sherry will be standing alongside the singer as she takes the stage for her second major concert, bringing together the brand’s focus on women, local talent and memorable experiences.
The partnership adds another chapter to V&A Sherry’s growing association with platforms that celebrate women and Ugandan creativity. The brand has previously supported events including Miss Uganda, Miss Universe Uganda, the Unite for Women Concert and Geosteady’s concert.
For Tumwizere, Jazmine was a natural choice.

Jazmine has spent more than a decade carving out her place in Uganda’s music scene, building a catalogue that continues to resonate with fans. At The One and Only, she is expected to revisit some of her most recognisable songs, including You and Me, Masuuka, Kapeesa and Same Way.
The singer welcomed the partnership and urged her fans to show up ready for a night of music, celebration and good vibes.
“I am so grateful to the V&A team for supporting me on this. Fans should come ready to be entertained and to have a great time with me and to toast to the concert with Uganda’s favourite Sherry. Bannange mujje nga mwaaka,” said Jazmine.
Adding to the experience, V&A Sherry will have a dedicated bar at the Cricket Oval, offering guests different ways to enjoy the sherry liqueur, from neat serves to cocktails.
Tickets are available through MTN MoMo. Early-bird ordinary tickets cost UGX 20,000 via the app and UGX 30,000 at the gate. VIP tickets go for UGX 30,000 via the app and UGX 50,000 at the gate, while tables for eight are priced at UGX 3 million.
