Events in Kampala This April 2026

It’s April in Kampala — the sun is shining brighter, the weekends feel endless, and the whole city is buzzing with that “let’s go out” energy.

Let’s walk through the highlights together, starting right at the beginning.

Saturday 4th April: The Explosive Weekend Kickoff

This Saturday sets the tone for the entire month, and three events are leading the charge.

Etania: Becoming the Life of the Party is the one you don’t want to miss. Kampala’s favourite female DJ is finally headlining her own major solo show at Lugogo Hockey Grounds from 2:00 pm till late. This is her moment — a proper celebration of her journey, packed with high-energy sets, massive crowd moments, and that special nightlife storytelling only Etania can deliver. Phase One tickets are UGX 50,000 and they’re flying. If you love big-stage outdoor parties under the Kampala sky, this is your sign.

Still on the 4th, head over to The Alchemist Bar & Kitchen in Bugolobi for Old School Soirée Vol 30. Starting at 1:00 pm with free entry, this one is pure nostalgia therapy. Expect smooth R&B, timeless classics, throwback hits, and Ssese Nation DJs keeping the sing-along energy alive all the way till late. It’s relaxed, feel-good, and perfect for anyone who wants good vibes without the pressure.

As the sun goes down, switch gears to Masquerade Outdoor Movie Night featuring Winnie Nwagi at Hotel 360 Ndejje on Entebbe Road. Starting at 6:00 pm, this is cinema under the stars with live performances and that magical outdoor movie atmosphere. Tickets are UGX 40,000 — great if you want something a little different and romantic.

Sunday 5th April: Chill Sunday Vibes with Spinny

Easter Sunday is sorted with Spinny and Friends BBQ Experience at Mezo Noir, Kololo. This daytime outdoor affair brings good food on the grill, Don Julio drinks, Afro House beats, laughter, and that perfect unwind energy. DJ Spinny (the Minister of Enjoyment) and his crew know exactly how to turn a Sunday into something special. If you want sun, great company, and zero stress, this is the move.

Saturday 11th April: Mid-Month Takeover

Two strong but very different energies hit on this day.

The BAG Kampala is bringing premium party takeover vibes with DJ Spinny on the decks and that exclusive, high-energy atmosphere the BAG series is known for. It’s stylish, loud, and built for people who like to turn all the way up.

Meanwhile, the ladies are claiming the spotlight with Girls Just Wanna Have Fun back at The Alchemist Bar & Kitchen. Expect R&B, soul, and pop anthems, queens on the decks, dancing, laughter, and that empowering sisterhood vibe that always delivers good memories.

Sunday 12th April: Laughs and Afro Energy

Sunday the 12th gives you two beautiful options.

Anne Kansiime at 40 Comedy Special at the Uganda National Theatre is going to be special. Uganda’s queen of comedy is celebrating her milestone with a full stand-up show packed with nonstop laughter. Tickets start at UGX 150,000 — clear your schedule and come ready to cry from laughing.

The same day, Johnnie Walker Afro Exchange lands at Silo 15 with smooth Afro beats, premium drinks, and that classy yet turnt-up atmosphere they always nail.

The Rest of April’s Gems

Later in the month, you’ve got the Women’s Home & Lifestyle Brunch & Charitable Event on the 18th at Canary Gardens, Kyanja — perfect for a meaningful daytime catch-up. And on the 25th, close things out with the Old School & Vibe Brunch at Protea Hotel Kampala Skyz in Naguru, where brunch meets classic tunes till late.

April 2026 isn’t just events on a calendar — it feels like Kampala telling us to live loud, laugh hard, and make memories.

So tell me… which one are you locking in first? Etania on the 4th? Spinny’s BBQ on the 5th? The BAG or Girls Just Wanna Have Fun on the 11th? Or Anne Kansiime’s comedy night?

Drop your plans below and keep checking www.allevents.ug because new things pop up all the time.

See you out there, Kampala. Let’s make this month unforgettable!
