Kampala, Uganda. April 4, 2026 will be remembered as the night everything changed. DJ Etania Mutoni, better known as the Life of the Party, did not just perform at Lugogo Hockey Grounds. She owned it. She turned the whole venue into one massive, unstoppable celebration. This was her first ever headline show, and she made it count. Thousands packed the grounds, dancing from early afternoon until the early hours. The energy was insane.
Etania did not walk onto that stage. She arrived like she belonged there all along. She mixed killer DJ sets with fire choreography, live moments, and that raw charisma that makes every club in town go wild. Surprise guest Joshua Baraka joined her for a heartfelt moment that had the entire crowd singing along. Dancers lit up the field. Phones stayed up. The vibes were unmatched.

One fan nailed it on social media: “This was not just a show. It was a masterclass in being the Life of the Party.” Another said it was the biggest DJ show of 2026 so far. The numbers back it up. Etania pulled a crowd that puts her right up there with the biggest names in the game.
But let’s take it back for a second. Etania’s journey did not start with sold out shows and big stages. Born in Masaka, she lost her father when she was only 10 and stepped up early to help her mother and sisters. She started as a party lover with natural energy that could light up any room. She hustled with events crews like Muchachos, learning the nightlife scene from the ground up. She took small gigs, sometimes earning as little as 50,000 shillings, and she was grateful every single time.

During the 2020 lockdowns, when clubs shut down, her personality exploded on TV. NTV gave her the Mix Party show, and she turned Friday nights into must watch television. From there she added MC work, dancing, radio, and reality TV to her bag. In 2022 she picked up the decks and started DJing. She trained hard, blended her skills, and kept evolving. Now at 26, she has become the first female DJ in Uganda to headline her own major concert. That is not luck. That is pure grind, talent, and stubborn belief in herself.
Proudly sponsored by All Events Kampala, together with strong partners like Mirinda and Smirnoff, the event celebrated Ugandan talent, youth power, and female excellence in entertainment. We backed this moment because we believe in artists who do not just play the game. They change it.
Etania did not just spin tracks that night. She proved a bigger point. Kampala’s nightlife now has a new standard, and it is loud, fearless, feminine, and full of life.

Big thanks to every single person who showed up, danced without holding back, and helped make history. Uganda, you showed up for your girl, and she showed out in the biggest way.
The Life of the Party is no longer on the way. She has arrived.
