Guvnor Street Set to Host DJ Last Gal’s First Solo Headline Show

Kampala’s Guvnor Street will be the setting for one of the city’s anticipated new nightlife experiences this October when Ugandan DJ and entertainer Last Gal takes over the venue for her first-ever solo headline show.

Dubbed “The Last Gal,” the DJ showcase and rave party is scheduled for Friday, October 2, 2026, bringing the rising DJ to the forefront of an event built around her sound, performance and growing reputation as one of Uganda’s prominent female DJs.

The choice of Guvnor Street gives the event a fitting home. The Guvnor complex, located on First Street in Kampala, has long been associated with the city’s nightlife and continues to host a range of music-led experiences, from live performances to themed club nights.

For the October showcase, however, the focus will be firmly on Last Gal.

And for partygoers considering attending, the organisers have opened up several ticket categories, giving fans different ways to experience the night.

Ordinary early-bird tickets are going for Shs50,000, while those who wait until the gate will pay Shs100,000. For guests looking for a more premium experience, Gold VIP access costs Shs2 million, while the Platinum VIP package is priced at Shs4 million.

The tiered pricing makes the show accessible to ordinary clubgoers while also creating premium spaces for groups and guests looking for a more exclusive night out.

The event’s ticketing information directs fans to MTicket, with tickets also available by dialing 2524#.

The decision to stage The Last Gal at Guvnor Street also places the showcase within a venue that has continued to position itself as a destination for Kampala’s nightlife. Recent events at the venue have included live music, international acts and themed DJ experiences, reinforcing its reputation as a space for large entertainment nights.

Last Gal is expected to use the October show to showcase more than her ability behind the decks. The event promises an immersive rave experience built around DJ performance, electronic music, lighting and audiovisual production.

The show also represents a significant point in her career. Last Gal first gained wider attention as part of a DJ duo with media personality and DJ Etania ‘Life of the Party’. After the duo went their separate ways, she embarked on a solo career that has seen her perform across Uganda and in international markets including Kenya, Rwanda and Dubai.

She has since continued to build her identity as a standalone performer, including through her “Last Girl on the Ones and Twos” segment on Radio 4 Uganda’s Kiwoowo Friday.

Now, with her name on the event itself, the October 2 show becomes a different kind of career statement.

“This showcase is a true reflection of my growth, my passion, and my solo journey,” said DJ Last Gal. “‘The Last Gal’ is more than just a party; it is a full-blown electronic and musical rave where I get to connect deeply with my fans and also tell the female DJ story.”

She added that the event would create an immersive DJ entertainment experience and promised fans “massive surprises” during the night.

With Shs50,000 early-bird tickets, Shs100,000 gate entry and premium packages going up to Shs4 million, the countdown to The Last Gal has now moved from announcement to ticket-buying season.
