DJ Matson’s first official DJ set happened back in 2016 at Club Lavida in Mbale. What may have looked like a small opportunity at the time became the beginning of years spent building his craft, understanding crowds, and creating memorable nightlife experiences through music.
Over the years, he has developed a sound that blends Old School classics, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Afrobeat, Amapiano, and R&B into energetic performances that keep audiences engaged from start to finish. As his profile continued to grow, DJ Matson began performing at notable nightlife venues including Vault Lounge, Baoli, Ruby, and The Krystal, steadily earning recognition as one of the DJs bringing energy and consistency to Kampala’s entertainment scene. He is currently one of the DJs performing at Silo 15, where he continues to build his audience and musical identity.
Beyond club performances, Matson has also played at some of the region’s exciting events including Reminisce, Old School Soiree, Old School & Vibe Brunch, and Kadodi Karnival among others. These performances have helped him connect with audiences beyond Kampala while strengthening his reputation as a versatile entertainer.
