Club Canvas Lights Up Muyenga Quarry with Music, Art, and Vibes

Kampala has seen its fair share of parties. However, every once in a while, an event comes along that feels different from the very beginning. Club Canvas did exactly that. From the moment April 11th arrived, the anticipation that had quietly built across the city finally found its release.

As the afternoon stretched toward dusk, revellers began to arrive in waves. Students from Clarke University mixed with carefully selected invitees, each one aware that they had secured a place in something not everyone could access. Because the event remained strictly invite-only, the atmosphere immediately felt exclusive yet electric.

Revellers have fun at the event

As the revelers stepped into Muyenga Quarry, the experience began long before the music took over. Instead of a standard entrance, attendees walked into a creative installation that doubled as a living, breathing photobooth. Phones came out instantly. People recorded videos, captured moments, and immersed themselves in the aesthetic. At the same time, some of Kampala’s top photographers moved through the space, documenting the energy as it unfolded. As a result, the entrance itself became part of the story.

Once inside, the event continued to reveal its layers. Rather than rushing straight into loud music, Club Canvas Kampala slowed things down with intention. Guests moved into a creative masterclass experience powered by Swangz Avenue alongside Club Beer. Here, art met interaction. A gaming station drew in curious players.

A tattoo station added a bold edge. Face painting, visual art, and curated music blended seamlessly into the environment. Everything around the space reflected a single idea. As host Sammy Wetala emphasized, Club Canvas celebrates art, music, technology, and creativity. Because of this foundation, the event felt alive in a way that many parties do not. People did not just attend. They explored. They engaged. They became part of the experience itself.

As the evening progressed, the energy naturally began to shift. Entertainment took center stage, and the transition felt smooth rather than abrupt. MC Pest set the tone early, warming up the crowd and guiding the mood upward. Soon after, the DJs took control. DJ Vanns, DJ Trizzy, and DJ Roja each added their own flavor, building a rhythm that carried through the night.

Revelers started having fun during day time

At the same time, the artist lineup elevated the experience even further. Zagazillions and Fyno UG brought raw energy to the stage. Then came XHAVI and Aaronix, who kept the momentum strong with engaging performances. Each act added a new layer, ensuring the crowd stayed fully immersed.

However, the night reached its emotional peak when Kohen Jayce stepped forward. His performance shifted the mood into something deeper. Through soulful RnB sounds, he pulled the audience into a shared moment that felt both intimate and powerful. It was the kind of performance that slows time, even in the middle of a high-energy event.

Then, just when it seemed the night had revealed everything, MC Viana Indi took over. With commanding presence, vibrant energy, and dynamic movement, she lifted the crowd once again. Her voice, her rhythm, and her connection with the audience ensured that the night did not fade quietly. Instead, it ended on a high.

By the time the event drew to a close, one thing had become clear. Club Canvas Kampala was not just another party. It was a carefully crafted experience that blended creativity, music, and culture into something immersive.

More importantly, it delivered on the curiosity it created. Everything that had been hinted at before the event came to life in real time. The mystery transformed into memory.

Now, as conversations continue across the city, the question has already begun to shift. People no longer ask what Club Canvas is. Instead, they ask when it will return. And if this first edition proved anything, it is that Kampala will be more than ready for the next one.
