Old School Soirée Celebrates 25 Editions of Taking Kampala Back in Time

Kampala witnessed a night to remember as the Old School Soirée 25th Edition took over the Fairway Boutique Hotel’s Coco Pool Bar on November 1st, 2025. From midday, the energy began to build. By the time the first beats dropped, the venue was alive with excitement, laughter, and the unmistakable buzz of nostalgia.

For two years, Old School Soirée has been more than an event; it’s been a journey through time. This 25th Edition was a proud milestone, and it showed in every detail. The moment guests walked into the venue, they felt it. The warm afternoon sun glimmered over the pool as groups of friends reunited, some dressed in their favourite retro looks, ready to dance the day away.

DJ Marco opened the afternoon with smooth grooves that set the perfect tone. His set reminded everyone why Sundays are for good music and better moods. As the day rolled on, DJ Chapat took the decks, pulling the crowd deeper into a wave of house music that had everyone swaying, smiling, and sipping their drinks in rhythm.

By the time DJ Bankrobber stepped up, the dancefloor was full. He delivered a masterclass that fused Ugandan folklore, Kadongo Kamu, and golden-era classics. As dusk fell, DJ Kasbaby took over and raised the tempo. His set moved seamlessly from R&B to hip-hop and dancehall, each track pulling louder cheers from the crowd. When the FEM DJ stepped up next, the night glowed brighter. His smooth transitions between Ugandan and international R&B hits turned the Soirée into a soulful celebration.

Then came DJ Ssese, a name that needs no introduction to Kampala’s nightlife. His signature energy swept across the venue, and suddenly, everyone was on their feet. From old-school anthems to Afrobeat favourites, Ssese reminded everyone why this event continues to sell out.

But the night wasn’t just about music. The Fairway Hotel menu kept guests satisfied throughout, with delicious bites that paired perfectly with the cocktails flowing from the bar. The partnership with Jägermeister added a touch of heritage and bold flavour, uniting old-school charm with modern edge.
