He opened with Welcome, his 2007 hit, followed by Dance Again, bringing the audience into a musical experience that felt both nostalgic and new. Sharing the stage with protégés like Michael Kitanda, Joseph Sax, and Mark Langa, Isaiah turned the concert into a celebration of mentorship.

A touching moment came when Isaiah Katumwa held up his first saxophone, a gift from his uncle. He acknowledged Mr. Jimmy Mugerwa, who gave him his first professional chance. Their presence was a reminder that belief and opportunity can change lives.

Isaiah Katumwa also honoured early collaborators Samuel Bisaso and Victor Oringtho, whose contributions shaped his early sound. Francis Kirabira from Johnnie Walker Green Label praised Isaiah’s craft. He said Johnnie Walker Green Label’s sponsorship of this landmark show is more than brand alignment but a shared philosophy.
