In the heart of Kampala, Uganda, girls and young women are boldly owning their voice and rewriting what it means to lead, show up, and speak for themselves. They are not waiting for permission; they are building platforms, taking seats at the table, and creating change in their names.
Hence, The African Sisters Network, a digital and in-person community designed to equip and elevate young African women. This is through mentorship, storytelling, and bold conversations.

At The African Sisters Network, they believe that voice is power. Not just the ability to speak, but the courage to speak truthfully to own your story, your experiences, and your space. Over the past few years, the network has witnessed firsthand how young women who boldly step into visibility experience profound personal and professional shifts.
This is why the theme for Brunch & Learn | Edition 2 is especially close to their mission:
Be Seen. Be Heard: How Boldly Owning Your Voice Can Shape Your Personal and Professional Life.
On Saturday, 5th July, we return to The Emin Pasha Hotel in Kampala for a day of connection, clarity, and community. It’s not just another brunch, it’s a room designed to elevate young women who are ready to stop playing small and start showing up with intention.

Boldly owning your voice to shape your professional journey
The esteemed Jacqueline Asiimwe Mwesige will headline the afternoon as the keynote speaker. A respected voice in governance and leadership, Jacqueline will share strategies on leading with authenticity and taking up space with confidence. Similarly, excitement is through the roof for the presence of Quiin Abenakyo, Former Miss World Africa 2018. Abenakyo will guide participants through the inner journey of building self-belief and breaking limiting narratives.
Returning to the stage is Gloria Haguma, communications consultant and fashion diplomat. She will once again host the event and share insights on image, communication, and presence online and offline.

The day will also feature a certificate ceremony for the women who completed our Branding Class. Brunchers can also expect a panel session with powerhouse African sisters. And, of course, an intentional networking and a thoughtfully curated brunch experience to sum up the afternoon.
This year’s edition is a call to every woman ready to lead, speak, and be seen on her terms. Your story is your superpower. And this is the room where it unfolds.
Tickets are available at UGX 100,000, which covers full access, meals, and a few unforgettable surprises.
