After the overwhelming turnout at 1420 Lounge, fans had been calling for a bigger venue, and Strictly Soul listened. Once Mestil was announced, excitement soared. Pre-sale tickets vanished almost instantly, and with limited tickets at the door, eager fans began queuing as early as 4 PM to secure a spot.

The evening was everything fans had hoped for—and more. Ugandan DJs KasBaby, Em That Guy, and Nick Mwes kept the dancefloor alive with flawless transitions and soulful sets.

When headline act DJ Akio took over the decks for the final two hours, the energy reached a new high. His impeccable selection of R&B classics and modern hits had everyone singing, swaying, and celebrating.

The show’s vibrant energy was perfectly matched by charismatic hosts Celine Kamuhangi and Sheila Salta, who kept the crowd entertained and the vibes flowing between sets.
