On January 23, 2025, the Uganda Police Force issued a statement regarding the halted music event at the Cricket Oval in Lugogo, initially planned for January 24, 2025. The event was organized by Mr. Galabuzi Denis Benon of Umoja Management LTD.
According to the press release dated January 24, 2025, a joint security team, along with event organizers and venue managers, convened today to reassess the situation. The aim was to ensure that the event could proceed safely, adhering to previously recommended safety measures.
Following this meeting, it was decided that the concert by King Saha would proceed as scheduled at the Cricket Oval. However, a significant change was made: the use of the pavilion has been strictly prohibited due to structural concerns that could endanger attendees.
The Uganda Police Force has emphasized the importance of safety and will continue to monitor the event to ensure compliance with the new guidelines. Fans are encouraged to enjoy the concert while respecting the restrictions in place for their own safety.
